About Us

Our Story - Gippsland Garages & Sheds

At Gippsland Garages & Sheds, we're more than just shed builders - we're locals helping locals bring their new steel building plans to life! Whether it's a patio to enjoy with family, a man cave to house your passions, a hay, farm or machinery shed, a custom she shed, or a garage built for work - we're here to make the process smooth, efficient, and stress-free.
Our journey started back in 1987, when owner Gavin Dobson began working at Hobar Industries in Wonthaggi. This early experience in the steel fabrication industry sparked a lifelong commitment to service integrity and quality-built structures.
Gavin later spent a decade in automotive manufacturing, specializing in supply chain management for some of Australia's leading carmakers. There he developed the structured systems, the quality mindset and scheduling discipline that still drive our business today.
Working with a Registered Building Practitioner assures regulatory compliance, and confidence - Backed by National Construction Codes.
From Planning to Permits, Materials Order Management to Construction, we manage every step with the same discipline and care – so you don’t have to.
